What is Bored Ape Football Club?

Bored Ape Football Club (BAFC) is the biggest football project on the XRPL!

BAFC is first a community DAO of 5000 NFTs. A DAO is a de-centralised project with it's community members at the centre of all decisions as they have influence through voting rights. From here you can check out the details of our NFTs here.

BAFC is opening a 360,000 square foot stadium in the Lux Lions Oasis, the stadium is surrounded by community owned plots of land which are now SOLD OUT and only available on the secondary market!

BAFC has released the xBAFC token to support the growth and future of the entire BAFC eco-system. The token has some use cases already but the intention is to get it working as a token for the BAFC stadium. More info can be found here.

BAFC promised to support grassroots football in the UK from day one. We are pleased to confirm that with the help of SFT Luton, we have made the beginnings of the best under 9's national tournament. Check out how our 2023 edition went here!!!!

Why should I swap my $BAFC tokens for NFTs?

The IOU token will not be around forever, once that day comes you will only be able to purchase NFTs. So the best chance to get a legendary for cheap is getting a $BAFC token!

Is BAFC part of BAYC?

No, BAFC has no affiliation to Bored Ape Yacht Club, BAYC or YugaLabs. Holding our digital art or $BAFC tokens does not grant you access to the BAYC ecosystem.

We provide our own unique combinations of traits to make our NFTs unique and clear to identify.

What is an NFT?

NFTs (short for non-fungible tokens) are digital artwork items that you own. Proof of ownership is stored on a blockchain, a publicly available digital database.

What is a DAO?

A DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) is an organisation controlled by voting governance that is enforced by code, which is run and stored on the blockchain. This means it is controlled by the organisation members, and not influenced by any single party.

The company is fully controlled by members!

What is a blockchain?

A blockchain is a publicly available digital database. It confirms movement of coins, ownership through wallets and cannot be re-written.

Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system.

What is XRP?

XRP is a cryptocurrency. Like Bitcoin but instead of being built on a blockchain, it is built on a hash-tree. Both are secure but instead of mining algorithms XRP validates transactions using node polls. This helps XRP to be much cheaper, faster and better for the environment!

Why can't I just screenshot one?

You can screenshot an NFT. But you will never own it that way, you will never be able to reap the benefits of owning an NFT that way. Only NFT and token owners will be able to interact with our community - get one before they go up in value!
